I heard this interview (15.6 MB) on the Redi Thlabi show on Cape Talk. There are some quite interesting points made, and there are some funny moments–poor Redi nearly cracked up with laughter at one point.

Good morning (or rather “Good afternoon) in South Africa
Your link to the interview is not working-at least not on my computer here in Canada. (8:40 AM)
Richard Dawkins remain one pf my favourite thinkers, although his views on relegion makes him “The purveyor of The Devils preachings” among the right-wing evangelical movements, whose blind folded member’s sense of reality must be relegated to the world of fantasy.
My views on religion are well known and illustrated somewhat in an essay I wrote quite some time ago

It is minus 1 degree here with snow on the way, so one could wish to swap places with you.

Good morning Beechmount,
The link works from my side. If you’re using Windows, right click and ‘Save target as’; if you’re using linux right click and ‘Save link as’; if you’re using Mac I don’t know, just do what you usually do to save a file.
I had a brief look at the post you linked–it looks interesting and read it sometime this weekend (I’m at work now).
Don’t envy us too much for the summer. You’ll get your turn in a few short months when you’ll be basking at the poolside and we’ll be shivering in the grip of…oh, wait, that doesn’t really happen here.

I just completed listening to the Dawkins interview. He is-as usual- thought provoking and eminently capable of defending his points of view. Thanks for putting a link to this interview on your blog.
Cheers
Beechmount.
I haven’t yet listened but coincidentally picked up on this article this evening. I have no opinion until I get to the interview.

Hey there great website! Does running a blog
similar to this take a large amount of work? I’ve virtually no understanding of coding but I had been hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyway, if you have any ideas or techniques for new blog owners please share. I understand this is off topic nevertheless I simply had to ask. Thank you!
Hi there, and thanks for the comment. This is a bog-standard WordPress site–just go to http://www.wordpress.com and follow the instructions. It’s simple and free, unless you want to pay for your own domain and to have higher upload limits, etc.
